Disciple of the Self-Radiant Avadhuta, Mouna Swamigal of Sri Dattatreya Peetam, Thiruvidaimaruthur

Navakanda Yogeeshwarar,

Srimath Sadhananda Swamigal

Hearty welcome you all

Honourable Justice Dr. P. Jyothimani

Former Judge – High Court

At Sadhanandapuram, where the Jeeva Samadhi of Srimath Sadhananda Swamigal is enshrined—having become one among the eternal beings, merging with the radiant form of Shiva, ripened in divine union and absorbed into Shiva as a Shivalinga—there abounds an atmosphere of peace, joy, serenity, blossoming, and spiritual growth.

Here, along with daily pooja, special observances are held every month on Pradosham, Pournami (Full Moon day), and on the Guru Pooja day during the Magam star. On these auspicious days, special abhishekam, floral decorations, nadaswaram recitals, devotional songs, and annadanam (free food offering) are celebrated with great reverence.

Devotees not only from Tamil Nadu but also from other states come in large numbers to worship here. In addition, many devotees from abroad visit from time to time to have the darshan of Swamigal.

Every year, on the Thai month Magam star day, marking the day in 1922 when Swamigal attained Jeeva Samadhi, the Maha Guru Pooja festival is celebrated with grand devotion. On this sacred occasion, tens of thousands of devotees participate and depart having received the blessings of the Guru and the divine grace of the Lord.
